Sheila Galbraith

I grew up in North Berwick, Scotland, opposite the East beach with a view to the Bass Rock from my sitting room. After obtaining an Honours Degree in History from St Andrews University I spent the next eighteen years working in London before returning to my home town in 2009.

In 2014 I decided to take the plunge to focus on what I had always really wanted to be when I grew up and so set up Sheila Galbraith Designs.

​Inspiration from the sea and the beach is at the heart of the jewellery that I make. Following some months working in New England I've been influenced by the nautical, crisp, clean and peaceful colours that are so prevalent there. I do also love bright colours and am happy to make up any of my pieces in a different colour of your choice, where possible.

Seeking out the perfect elements for my jewellery designs holds the same fascination and excitement for me as exploring the beach after the tide has gone out.
